getting ready to start welding my front bumper ...
the one on my rear was 150lbs+
have a freind with big metal brake and cnc machine ...
the center piece alone will problably weigh 200+ lbs
the stock bumper mounting frame tabs are a joke ... 4"x1/8"
a good bump and the bumper will probably be on the road
what do you guys with aftermarket/homemade bumpers do to mount them
thinking of cutting the cross member ends a little and sliding a piece of 2"x4" 1/4" wall tubing back into the frame until it contacts the first bend in the frame and welding it in to mount the bumper on ...
any thoughts?
