That would be nice... . but I'm trying to make my ins. /the POS' insurance pay for it.....

Brushed stainless would be nice too... . not as blinding/hard to keep looking nice as the polished... . plus will never rust/corrode.

Rough Country Accessories

Here in Texas, front end replacements are everywhere. There are probably 20 different companines that make and sell them in Texas. I have bought several from a local builder. He sold my front end replacement to me for $400, and I put it on. I can't get anymore for that price but if you are interested I will see what he gets now. I know, you probably think it can't be much for $400, but it looks great, sheds deer without damage, and is as well built as there is. Main bumper is 8" C channel, grill guard is 11/4" pipe, it wraps around the headlights. Very good products. If anyone wants more info e-mail me. I do not have a digital camera, but I will try to get a pic for ya'll, if you want one.

I love my Prozap!!! I got the first one that would hold a Warn 12,000 and the workmanship is outstanding. Granted it's kinda spendy, but they all are. I like the Prozap for a couple of reasons.

1. Lighter than a Reunel by about 60#'s.

2. You don't have to mount the winch into the bumper before mounting it on the truck.

3. One person installation.

4. Can use it to help you turn on tight trails:)

BTW, if it helps anyone, I have my original 98. 5 bumper (replaced at six months old and perfect condition) in the garage for a very reasonable price. Takes up too much room:(

uteldt bumpers

This uteldt bumper mentioned previously is really pretty, looks rugged too! $1800 though, wow:cool:

The road armor is probably my 1st choice as far as bad-a$$ looks, but the price and the weight are two huge issues for me... .

We'll see what the insurance adjuster thinks... and go from there.

Hey Matt, hope your ok. From what I understand, OEM bumpers are around $700, so you may need to cough up some extra cake to get beefier ones. And I would suggest that you tell the ins. company that you only want oem parts prices, not Asian crap that never fits right and is made of aluminum foil.

Front bumper on the way

Just purchased an ARB---I still have another month to wait for #16 of 20 to arrive from Australia. Cant wait, I posted this ? a month ago & looked at everyone of these things. From what I thought was cost effective & eye pleasing, this was the one for me. Keep in mind I was looking for a hidden winch mount also. 850. 00--I pick up 1hr from home. Sorry I dont have a link, but just do a search (www.ARB.com) & on the same web site dial in your location to beat the horrible shipping charges if you wish---Proflow

Yes this is the one

Did you find a retailer local to you ?, I dont know where Camas is , but I'll be picking mine up from Seattle. Sorry, dont have the store location in front of me right now. So what do you think ? I cant take credit for the find due to someone else hooking me up w/ this site a month ago. (sorry dont know who to give cudos to). I think out of all the rigs they post the Dodge looks best. -----Proflow

Matt, you could get into the reunel bumper only for about 800 clams. it's heavy, but beefy. As far as needing new springs, they are not expensive, and you'll probably be needing a set soon anyhow with the age of your truck. Probably could find a set of the factory snow plow prep springs in the classifieds or something.

Jeff is that 800 fried clams, or just fried clam strips?? (not funny. . )

The Reunel is bad-a$$ looking, but $8-bills is a lot of dough... . I think I'm going with a Super Craft..... $525... then I may have it coated with some nifty bedliner stuff... . Super Craft will do it for $150, but I can probably get it done cheaper.

Thanks for the suggestions, I definitely used all this input and have *maybe* come to an actual decision.....

Later for now,

Matt

If you get 800 or so live clams together. You can mate them and have 1600 or so live clams. (REALLY not funny  ) If you do this you can afford the Denver Offroad Bumper ;)

Seriously Matt, There is an inexpensive Bumper builder out of georgia. It's called Kennesaw Mountain Accessories. I checked out there prices and they were about 500 clams ;) (The Wincher is what you want. ) Check them out they might be what you are looking for. There was an old thread on this here.

Good luck, Hope to see you on the 16th! Oo.

I emailed them... . sooner or later someone will respond with some good news. :)

Thanks for the link... . every little bit helps.

Matt - may not have new bumpers or even my truck with me on the 16th, but I'll be there.

P. S. The Denver Offroad is my 1st choice... . lighweight, good looking, beefy... . but the price is prohibitive. I'd also like a front replacement made out of brushed stainless... . beefy, rustfree, no corosion... . not even dissimilar metal corosion like with aluminum/steel. Lots of bumpers... . very little time... . and no idea what the ins. Co. is giving me for bread yet. I'm hoping for the best.
