i did not have a great day today. (could have been worse). a 84 year old lady coming from a side street looked at me coming then pulled out when i was only about 20 feet away. i was almost able to avoid her by going far to the right and made the collision a small one instead of the t-bone. thankfully no one was injured.

i know others have had these bumpers crush and destroy, but i have to say that i was very impressed with how it held up. only the bumper has damage and did not get pressed in far enough to damage the truck in any way. very impressed i could not believe it.

my question is now , what to go with. road armor or buck stop for the replacement.

My opinion: if you got gobs of cash laying around, go with the Road Armor. Otherwise, Buckstop is just as good for cheaper (if slightly less attractive).

But if you want A really durable good looking winch bumper get a ute. 150lb polished aluminum. I'd post a pic of mine but my pc support is'nt home from work yet.

I chose Buckstops and am very happy with them. I have opinions on the road armors, but I don't need to offend anyone who owns them by posting them here.

I have a tough country deluxe front replacement and really like it. It wieghs in a 205lbs but I don't think it will bend.
