What is the size of the two caliper bolts holding the unit on. It seems 19 mm and 3/4 too big and 17 mm too small 18 mm a little loose. I will need a breaker bar on these so I don't want to strip them. Man they are on tight. The rears were easy compared o the front.

18mm and they are torqued to I believe 147ft pounds. don't quote me on that though. however if your just changing pads , the caliper slide pin bolt are much smaller , 13 or 14 mm , i don't recall. not near as tight , don't forget the anti-seize when you go back together.

When I recently had to change the rear rotors on my wife's '04, I had to take the entire caliper assembly off. The bolts holding on the caliper adapter mount, the bracket that the caliper bolts to, appeared to have some thread locker on them when I took them out. I was able to get them off without assistance (breaker bar) using a 1/2" ratchet that has a fairly long handle and giving the end of the handle a couple of good bumps with my hand (having the same effect as an air gun).
