Anyone ever remove the center section of the front seats ?

I'm looking to gain some leg room for the rear seat passenger.

What is that box mounted underneath with that wiring, can that just be

reloacted ?

Thanks

There are four, 13mm bolts that thread from the bottom of the seat, through brackets. Once the center console/seat is removed, the mpounting brackets are attached to the driver/passengers seat. A shallow socket with a stumpy ratchet works the best for the rear bolts. A shallow socket with a medium ratchet is good for the front two. Oh, 3/8 drive is preferable. I've had mine out just a few times...

Yes you can relocate the box. It's th inertia switch for the seatbelt. You might consider padding the metal brackets that are attached to the seats to keep them from tearing up somebodies legs.
