I bought 2. 5" front coil spacers and tried installing them once but it didnt work out and wanted to know how you guys did it. when you put the spacers in what did you have to loosen? i tried to do mine but the axle didnt drop. i put the truck on jackstands, removed the shocks and shock towers, then took the swaybar end link nuts off, but the axle wouldn't drop. i figured i have to take the track bar bolt out too, but i was worried about getting it back in..... did u take the bolt on the axle off or the other side off. and how easy was it to get it back on? also did you have to use spring compressors too? the instrustions dont say anything about removing the sway bar end links or the track bar, it just says to remove the shocks and towers and let the axle down with the jack. i just dont want to leave myself stranded when i attemp to put the spacers in again... thanks

I've never put spacers in, but I did install my liftkit with new coils. I would imagine that you could just remove the towers and shocks, then use spring compressors to compress the spring then put the spacer in without having to remove the coil at all. That would depend on the type of compressor you use though. If you use the type that go down the center you would have to take it out and put the spacer on over it then put the whole assembly back in then release the pressure to seat the spacer. Where are you located?

Installed this on my truck about a year ago, so my memoery is a little foggy. I know for sure I removed the sway bar links (because one broke), I also removed the track bar bolt. It was a little difficult to line it back up. I used a large ratchet strap (10k style for tying down cars) to pull the axle the way I needed to. This was another classic job that should have taken 1 hr, but took most of a day just due to the directions not real telling the whole store. I am pretty sure I used a spring compressor, to make things easier, and I had one. I do think the job could be done without one using a pry bar. I did not need to realign the truck, 15k later NO wierd tire wear.

Yes, use ratchet straps to pull the frame over to reinstall the track bar. This is per Don Thuren's instructions that came with his track bar. Worked well. When I did mine I also changed the control arms at the same time. With the control arms unbolted from the axel, the axel dropped, and I did not need a spring compressor.

I used spring compressers... . I never removed the panhard, or swaybar...

I did one of each on my 03 and the ratchet strap way was easiest way I thought the spring compressor was just to much hassle
