Hello Guys!

My truck has 29K miles on it and this has never happened before. I searched the old threads. My truck has the correct fluid level and I also added Mopar anti foam addative, and the problem still happens every now and then, even though it is not in 4 wheel drive. I took the fluid level plug out after it did it the second time and it is just a little low on fluid. I took a rubber hose and blew into it to see if the vent was plugged up. It seemed to take a lot of pressure to blow, but it did come out of the vent. Could it be a slight restriction?

Many thanks to everyone for your help!

Ed, my truck spit up a cup or so of fluid from the front axle vent tube this past summer, had about 20,000 miles on it, about 10 months old. It only did it once, and hasn't done it again. I posted this same question, several other's responded that they had also seen the same thing. Some even said it was a semi regular occurance on their trucks.

TSB FOR THIS

There is a tsb somewhere for this but I can't find it. Mine did the same thing, I took it to my crappy dealer and they put a catch bottle just underneath where my stock air box use to be. It went inline on the breather hose where the fluid was puking out. They said this is the fix for the problem. I guess this container holds the fluid then allows it to run back down the hose into front dif. They showed me the print out of the TSB but I can't find that particular one. Mine did it mostly with change in elevation. Well anyway good luck.....

I found a fix for the puking oil on my truck. First you have to take out the stock airbox. Then you sell it on ebay for ten bucks w/ the $60 dollar K&N filter. After that go to Napa and buy a BHAF. Take simple green and wash the crud that forms from the spewing breather line off the fender. I then installed BHAF and when I change it..... I will wash the crud off the fender again.

My dealer said something like:"I have never seen one do that before"

Didn't know what to do. Diff levels are fine even after puking. I drive in four wheel drive almost every day... ... :D :D :D
