Hope I got this in the right forum... it's attached to the transmission. :)

The manual says there is a grease fitting on the universal joint where the front drive line connects to the transfer case/transmission... unless I am going blind (which is possible) I can not see a grease fitting anywhere. Any one else found this fitting?

I have not seen a grease fitting on anything for a long time , that wasn't added by the after market .
New definition to an old term " preventive maintenance " = to prevent maintenance .

There is alot of information on this including pictures. I don't know about your 07, but my 06 is on the back universal. You jack up the left front wheel and face the back of the truck. Look inside the joint and it looks like a drill bit started a hole.

That is the fitting. You need a needle end for your greese gun.

There is alot of info if you search. I have a white spot on my driveshaft where the fitting is. I don't know if Dodge put it there for that reason.

This U Joint is like a double Cardan joint with a ball and socket shaft coupling in the center of the joint. This ball and socket is what gets greased, not the yoke bearings. If you look carefully into the yoke openings closest to the rear of the assembly you will see a needle type fitting, a small "dimple" about 3/16" diameter. You will probably need to rotate the drive shaft until the opening with the fitting is in view. It is most easily visible looking from the passenger side towards the drive shaft. You need a needle fitting on your grease gun to service it. It is difficult to describe what to look for with words and it would be very difficult to take a picture of the fitting that would help to locate it. It took me two oil changes to find it. Hope this helps.

just went to the dealer today and asked them about this fitting . they told me that they were not finding them on all trucks and called chrysler to see why . they said chrysler said not all trucks have the fitting but it was easier to put it on the maintainence schedule for all trucks instead of picking out the trucks that did or did not have them .

Get a good light and you will find it. Once I found it, the needle on my small gun made it very easy to lube. No big deal. BTW, I got the needle at Taylor Do It Center, so they aren't difficult to find.
