Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) front drive shaft u-joint

what is the symptom of a bad front u-joint. I am getting a little play on it and a vibration around 1500-1900 rpms dont know if its related. I have a little bit of greese showing on the u-joint but not much. this all started about 4000 miles after I put my suspension lift on. so I guess this lift may have exposed a failing u-joint

Change it in your garage before you change it on the side of the road in the rain and cold!!! Also check your CV joint on the other end of your shaft... my lift took out three CV's so far! How big of lift did you get?

Sorry... Just noticed your sig! 6in? Also look into one of Skyjackers indexing rings for your transfer case! It takes the angle out of your drive shaft. Its my next purchase! Nothin worse than playin in the mud and throwin a driveshaft! #@$%!
