Competition Front Driveshaft....broke pulling

Now I was thinking on the way home that I got away lucky. I've got new Kuhmo Venture M/T's on my truck. I pulled on a pretty tacky track last night, and just before I was "stopped" there was a bang. I had no wheel spin. To much tire for the track.



I broke the front driveshaft as you can see in the pictures. I plan on pulling quite a bit more next season. Here's the question for the pullers out there... ... .



Do I have one built that's stronger? Do I get another stock replacement?

The front yoke didn't break at all?

I have only replaced that one once, when I had a 1410 put on at the yoke. I twas wore out, never broke.

The Front yoke appears to be just fine. Just the center of the double cardan (saganaw, CV, whatever you'd like to call it), and the U-joint.

To much tire for the track.

This is where you are gravely wrong. You did not have too much tire for the track, just not enough power for the tires :-laf See ya gotta look at it that way. After you fix the driveshaft, its time to add more power, so you can buzz the new tires

Well that is very very true... and that is the way I'm going to attack it..... Oo. Oo.
