I was plowing yesterday and felt a slight vibration when coasting and with the 2lo was able to isolate it to the driveshaft between the front axle and transfer case. I just crawled under (about 5* and windy) expecting to find either a frozen U Joint, or a sloppy loose U joint. What I found was that the 4 bolts holding the driveshaft flange to the transfer case output were very loose.

I remember tightening them up at some point after the clutch install--Noticed them during a lube/inspect. I figured I had forgotten to tighten them. As soon as the weather is better, I plan to Lock-Tite them in.

Anybody else run into this? (or did I miss an obvious step in re-assembly)

BTW, they are 16mm in case you want to check yours ;)

Mine came loose last winter before I used it. Heard something rattling under the truck. Lost one bolt, 2 others were sitting on the X-fer-case skid plate. Last one was barely threaded in. :--)
