I thought I had posted before but couldn't find it.
My front drive shaft where it attaches to the transfer case output keeps loosening up. I crank the bolts down and within a couple hundred miles of plowing and 4x4 use, they back off again.
The first time I noticed them was at lube/oil change inspection and I thought I just forgot to tighten them. I felt a vibration a couple weeks ago and found they were loose again. A couple days ago, I felt another vibration (acceleration rather than deceleration) but it was the same bolts again.
Think Lock-Tite will be enough? Do I need to clean, dry and thaw it out first? Any help or suggestions welcomed. Thanks
(ready to tack it on w/welder if necessary
