I want to throw this out there. I have not been able to find a decent front end alignment shop in my area. It is always hit and miss on my truck. But maybe you can help me!

I am wondering for the stock 2 wheel drive 3rd gen duallys, what have you found to be the proper alignment measurements? tow-in and left and right camber adjustments? I want measurements to take to the shop for them to use.

My front end is all good and tight, but I think the alignment sucks. I am getting excessive wear on the inside left tire and a little inside wear on the right tire. It just came back from the local dealer where parts were replaced and the dealer did the alignment... I need measurements to take to the dummies.

I know the next truck I buy, it will go on the alignment machine before it leaves the lot. I will have a printout of the factory alignment in my safe at home and take copies in for each alignment.... It can't be that @#$% hard!#@$%! Sorry for venting. Thanks in advance.

So I am the only one on here that doesn't have a good front end alignment shop within 100 miles of their home??? Sounds like my luck.:-laf

Well you have IFS correct? you need a little tow in, to stabilize everything, caster should be around 3. and tow should be .1 at most.
sound like right now you have tow out, hence the inside tire wear.
don't take these as the gospel though, it's just what i'd run in your place.
you can always do it your self with sticks and measuring tape.

jump to 9.32 in the video, it really isn't to hard to align these on your own.

Camber will effect which way the truck pulls not so much tire wear. Wear on the inside or out sides of the tire is almost always a Toe In adjustment out of spec. also too much No Toe In will cause the truck to want to wonder not track down the road. Too much Toe in we've found to really add to the DEATH WOBBLE. That said Keep in mind the worst place to get your alignment done is the tire shop. They SELL TIRES so a bit more on the adjustment will have you back in sooner for a new set.
