I have replaced, Shocks, everything from the steering box to wheels including the steering box. I have welded the factory steering shaft slip joint until I get my new one in, Track Bar 3 times. I get a continuos suspension knock or clunk/rattle sound below my feet when hitting little bumps and seams in the road. If I hit the brakes hard it is like someone takes a hammer and taps on the frame below my feet. I am going to replace upper control arm bushings tonight. any ideas.

Ball joints man ball joints. Mine did the same thing. Jack up one wheel at a time grab the top and bottom of the tires and shake. There shouldnt bee play in it. If so ball joints are needed.

Replaced right lower ball joint this past winter. I just got done with the bushings and noticed little change, I also removed the sway bar (needs new rubbers) and nothing changed, however its not as persistant. I think I will do ball joints just because milages. I just had the front end up and the axle hanging with no tires. I went as far as using a pry bar to get movement from ball joints, none that i could tell though. If yours did the same thing then it must be ball joints.

Hope this helps. I'm in the same boat as you, new everything up front. Found this thread and ordered the bushing. Talked to DBazley before ordering and he was in the same boat as us. The info to buy and contact him is under the product promotions page under classifieds. Will install this Fri. and let you all know what happens. Even if it doesn't fix it, it only cost $45. Lots cheaper than what I have already spent. The only thing I hate is that I may have to go buy the stock steering column, I have the Borgeson now. Oh well lessons learned can be hard. Let you know what happens.

Well got it in. Easy. No more noise or clunks. All :D . Is harder to steer, but they say that it will wear in with a few miles.
