My nephew just bought a new 06 CTD 4x4. He wants to lift the front end level with the rear. I know there is a spacer kit that lifts the body. I think he also needs a longer track bar and a droped pittman arm. Am I right? Also where is the best place to order the stuff from? Thanks in advance Jim

I've had my 2" Tuff Country spacers with factory shocks on since my truck was new and have had no problems. I will be switching over to 5100 series Bilstiens soon. I did not need a dropped pitman arm or a longer track bar. I would avoid urethane spacers as the will produce an annoying front end squeak. As for body lift I don't care for the way they relocate the internals of the underhood parts. If your looking for 3" or more just go the lift kit route, all be it more expensive but worth it.

You don't have to replace anything as long as you don't go more than a 2" lift. Find spacers that are made of steel. Anything else will just settle over time and you'll lose height. I have a Top Gun Customs 2" lift on the front of my '03 Ram. It now has over 183,000 miles on it with no problems.
