2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission front end makeover

I don't have the death wobble but I do have wander and 1/8 turn freeplay.
I'm starting the front end dance and replacing anything that's suspect.
OK, Stupid question time. ( yea yea, why doesn't he just look under the truck) Cause It's 10 miles away. :-laf
What model front axle is on the 97 4x4 2500?
What are the best ball joints to get?
Got the SSI track bar and bracket coming today. Am going to have a fun time this weekend. Oo.

It has a Dana 60 under the front.



I would purchase Moog ball joints.

You should also check the steering gear for slop.

Rockauto.com for the Moog parts. While your at it switch over to the 99HD T steering, instead of the Y setup.

The steering shaft is known to get pretty sloopy as well.
