2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Front end problem

I am having a crackle and pop :{ when truning to the left at slow speeds. I have looked under the truck and nothing appears to be wrong or I can not find it. the noise does not happen when turning to the right. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I would venture to guess that it is one of the front axle U joints. Check these for play.
