Have a '97 regular cab, long bed, 4 x 4 with 60k. Never been off road, don't haul heavy loads. Don't really haul much at all; bought the truck new in '97 because I like the engine.

At 43k had to replace the steering box, track bar, and pitman arm joint because they were shot. Had to do myself because truck was out of warranty. Used top quality Moog parts and a AGR rebuilt box. Have always greased my front end twice a year. Drive in an area with smooth roads. Now at 60k same problem. All parts I replaced at 43k need to be replaced again plus a few more. Dodge dealers in my area are no help; deny they have seen this type problem before.

Cann't afford (in time or money) to replace my front end every few thousand miles. Any body have any suggestion or ideas? Does Dodge have some secret recall on these parts? I've been very easy on this truck to have such problems. One other comment I should make; installed 19. 5" tires at about 41k. They ride rougher and are much harder than 16" tires. Anybody with the 19. 5 tires notice an increse in front end problems?

Thanks for any comments and help.

Great forum; have gotten a lot of great ideas and help here before; let's keep up the good work.
