thanks in advance for any replies. I bought my first CTD 2yrs ago an 04 2500 6spd CC w/17,500 on it. I Love it so much I just bought a 95 2500 REG. CAB CTD w/130k on it to use as a second business vechicle and to plow with. I have a list of things to do like the KDP I've been reading so much about but the thing I need to address first is the frontend drops considerable with my Curtis plow setup on it. I've plowed for yrs with a 1500 chevy and it didn't drop this much. I've looked at past threads to try and find info. but had no luck. I'm sure I have to add something to help the stock suspension out. As far as I can tell it didn't come with the plow package. Any info would be great

I think your best option is to find some heavier springs, rather than putting a level kit or blocks in there. With the combined weight of the Cummins and then a plow on the front, you've got quite a load for the springs to support. It's funny though - my '01 doesn't sag nearly as much as my dad's '06 3500 SRW, even if we swap the same plow between trucks. They both came with the plow package, but the front of his sags so much that he's going to upgrade the springs (which will also act as a leveling kit at the same time).

plow package

Father-in-law ordered his 99 withthe plow package which was basically heavier springs. The manual still said to put weight (I think 600lbs) in the back of the box to counter and level it up.

I installed the 988AA factory plow package springs in my 02 after installing the ranch hand bumper and it still has factory rake to it. Maybe perked up the front 1/2 inch at most versus the springs it came with. Many have had bad things to say about the 988AA springs but they have been a perfect match for my application. Not to mention a lot cheaper than aftermarket springs.

Timbrens on the front help immensely! can't say enough about them. I think they have saved the front end of my 96 which plows a great deal.
