So I had some work done on my 04 4x4, Layton Hills Dodge decided to replace my tie rod ends. Some I go to get my truck and they said that my Skyjacker Duel steering stabilizer won't fit anymore. I'lm like ???????? So they show me that the new replacement parts come with a track bar, tie rods and a new bar going across that the Skyjacker parts hook to.

Now don't get me wrong, these new parts look big and cool to me, but I'm easy in that aspect. The new bar I miked at about 1. 55 inches. So the plate on the old bar won't fit. So, this is a warning if you have warrenty work done on the tie rods. You can still get the older tie rods if you want. But now there will be 2 that can be on the truck!

I did call skyjacker and inform them of this. Will be a problem for other manufactures too!

Have the same problem with my Kore kit. They are currently working on an adapter/clamp for it. I'm surprised Skyjacker doesn't have one yet - all the 08's are like this from the factory, now.

No new track bar. Does need new steering stabilizer and clamp because attachment point is different.

Some people are reporting a new steering box and linkage, but I have yet to see it or pictures of it.

Call Don Thuren to get the part that has the proper diameter to accomodate the steering stabilizer. He changed out the same steering parts under my truck and my KORE "fox" race steering stabilizer bracket was too small to work with the new parts. No problem-he just replaced the bracket and away I went in no time flat.
