Just after a little over a year I have to replace the axle joints already, this is the third time. I used both solid and greasable this is getting really old. I still think it has something to do with the AAM axle design in one way or another, I never changed the joints in my 96 with over 200k with the Dana axles ... . IMO AAM are POS#@$%!

For those of you that have had problems getting the bearings out, are you guys up north where they salt the roads/etc? Just curious. I did the unit bearings on my wife's Ford a year ago or so and they came out with just a couple taps on the bolts after I backed them out a bit. After reading many posts here I was concerned that the ones on my truck would be MUCH worse. Turns out they weren't. I backed the bolts off a bit and tapped with a hammer to break the bearings loose then pulled them right off like butter using a puller. I'm in Texas so I'm thinking that has something to do with my good 'luck'. Just curious.
