This is a little dated from when I did the work. Just wanted to post what I did so that it may help someone else.

Frontend was getting real sloppy feeling so took it to shop. Mechanics said I needed everything from ball joints to brakes. After reading the forums and tearing into front end myself this is what I decided to do:

- Replace steering linkage, as the tierod ends were worn, Used Moog replacement, was before I know about 2008 upgrade.

- Replace Swaybay links with MAXX links.

- Replace trackbar bushings with Luke's Links.

- Install a Bilstein Steering Damper.

Had work done at a garage as I was still healing from neck surgury. Steering was improved post upgrade.

10 Months later I had a bad clunking sound everytime I turned my wheels. Finally had wife turn wheels while I watched. Whole frontend moved side to side as wheel was turned. Looked like the track bar bolt had woren out a larger hole where it attached to the frame. I took it back to the mechanic and he showed me where the Moog steering linkage was shot and the Maxx Links track bar bushings were shot. I torked the track bar bolt down and the cluncking stopped. Local parts store replaced Moog linkage with no hassle and a call to Maxx Links and they said that the 2006 frontend had some change they hadn't noticed. They sent a new set of bushings out to me, no charge. Great service.

Next to deal with the weakest link on the front end the thin piece of steal the trackbar bolts to on the frame. Some research and a call to Source Automotive got me track bar build up plates. While on the phone i mentioned that I was looking for a new track bar and they sold me their adjustable track bar matching Geno's Garage BD's price. Back to the mechanic and this time I handed him a tube of red Locktite and told him to use it everywhere.

Two years later and everything is still tight and working great under the front end. Here is a picture of the upgraded track bar, Maxx Links and track bar attachment point.

its a kit from source. its a little under a quater inch thick, one for each side.
i had to weld them as well. Damn bolt wollared it out quick.

The Source Kit also includes the longer bolt you will need. On another note I just put Michelin LTX M/S2 tires on the truck last week and what a big differnce. Zero vibration from the front end. Drives like a new truck.
