I am going to build a setup for hauling our Kayaks to Arizona in the fall and want to install a front 2" receiver as a starting point. I have the front air dam and the factory tow hooks installed. Bodiak made a hitch that bolted to the factory tow hook mounts, but I think they may have stopped production. Their web site is gone. Other suggestions? I would like one that come through the air dam, not below it!

i set up a 01 to be flat towed,blue-ox made the base plate, tow connections came thru the bumper opening, think you could attach a receiver to the braket.

I have a Buckstop bumper with a 2inch reciever built in, maybe not what you looking for.

I'll second that. I also have a 15,000-lb winch mounted in the Buckstop which hauls trees up hillsides just fine. Nice front hitch! :-laf

Well I talked to the Bodiak guy this morning and he is hoping to get back in production some day. So I went to local wrecking yard and bought a used rear hitch for 45 bucks and I and revamping to be a front hitch mounted via the two tow hook bolts on each side. The one I bought had the receiver mounted below the cross tube. So I cut off end plate frame mounts and the cross tube and receiver is going on upside down. So the receiver is going to stick through the air dam just below the license plate and about half of the cross tube will be below the the bottom of the air dam. I will take some pictures in the morning. I did not get one before cutting it up. Snoking

OK, just installed it. May do some more grinding on it later. Goes on or off in a few minutes. Now to start building the goal post. BTW, it hangs down about the same as the steering box brace.
