Got the hitch put on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon I am stuck(again. ) I made it across the low spot empty but after hooking up the 5er I get stuck coming back across. My uncle brings his Massey Ferguson 286(pretty big) and it don't budge it. Now I think oh no! Aunt makes a call to neighbor and says Okie is stuck we need help, she told him Elvin's tractor won't move it so could he come help. After about 30 minutes he shows up with a 4wd 7210 John Deere. HUGE TRACTOR) He locks in 4wd drive and hooks me up and pulls me and the 5er out with no problem. Even got lucky enough so that none of the plumbing or pipes under the trailer were hurt. Of course I caught slack over trying to bring a city truck to the country but he said it was fun and glad he could help. The hitch is super and after pulling some strings I got it for 99. 00 and my brother in law installed it. Thanks for all the advice I got from talking about this on an earlier post. It's not a luxury, I call it a neccessity.

Okie, it is a good thing you had that front hitch on your truck. I would hate to be stuck in snow or mud and have no access point to be pulled from. The front hitch is a very user friendly option to have. I like the ability of using a homemade slide in rack which I use in the summer months to mount a Coleman electric cooler connected to my battery, in the winter I can mount a portable winch when I am out in the woods. The factory hooks are nice to have also and I would get a set if I could have them and the front mounted receiver together. On my 96 Suburban I was able to mount the front receiver while also keeping the factory tow hooks. I will try and get a hold of Dodge tow hooks and see if I can mount them with the receiver. There must be a way to have both, just have to engineer a strong fit !! Enjoy your Diesel powered Ram !! Tony G

Dad gum, Okie, when are you gonna learn to quit playing with the truck and 5ver in the mud? Stuck twice within, what, 2 or 3 weeks? Good grief! :-laf :-laf
