I'm looking for a bolt-on hitch receiver for the front of my 93 D250 (2X). Everyone knows that the 2X frame is 6" wider than the 4X frame so the 4X solution doesn't work. The last estimate I got for a custom built was $375. I'll spend it IF I have to. I'd prefer something off the shelf.

Sorry I can't help you with an answer. Just a question: where did you find one for a 1st
Gen 4x4? I was looking a while ago but was told they don't make them.

I was given a receiver that had been removed from a 92 W250. It's very likely that Drawtite never listed it to fit where it came from. Stamped on the reinforcement collar is 05350. I don't know if that number was the receiver model number or the collar piece number. I checked a couple of on-line Drawtite dealer part number lists and did not find a match. Didn't get too carried away with number matching since the **** thing didn't fit my truck anyway. Had a welder stretch that one THEN found that the strut rod frame mounts run serious interference to that idea which leaves me back at square one.

Don't know if a 1st Gen frame is the same as a 2nd Gen frame but I put a Warn Front Receiver on my wife's 2wd 98. It's one of finest aftermarket accessories I've ever seen. Form, fit, finish, installation instructions, everything: 10 out of 10.

I describe my 93 as technology of the 70's built in the 90's with a face only a mother could love. Starting with the 94 model year the body/frame have zero in common with the previous years except who's name is on it. Gen 1 is now 8 years past prime as far as most aftermarket body/frame items are concerned. It's a numbers issue same as(likely) why no 1st Gen section in my most receint TDR.

I've had no luck trying to find one at Draw-tite with that number. Maybe another manufacturer has one. I'm still looking.
