Hello Fellas, Getting ready to slap in another set of pads and I need to know what am I going to find as far as a bearing nut on the front? What socket is used? I want to check/ repack the bearings and such. Also what pads are everyone happy with? I have Semi met Wagners in there now and had no complaints. I have used the Wagner MX/SX series in the fleet I was PMing and they were great too

Sorry, but I don't remember the size of the nut, but I do remember changing the wheel bearings. What a job I ran into, the passengers side was a piece of cake, the drivers side wasn't. When I pulled the hub off, out came the race and bearing on the inside of the hub. The race was frozen on the shaft, but after a little coaxing with the torch, everything was fine. Sorry, but my brakes are still good, so I don't have any suggestions on new pads.

I just looked at my spindle nut socket but all it says on it is "Fits 2 1/2" nut". I bought it at Car Quest but I am sure NAPA would have it also. My brake pads were fine but I did have to replace my rotors. Unless you hit a snag, it is pretty straightforward. The only booger is making sure you don't break off the locating pin on the spindle nut. I broke one off when the spindle nut socket slipped off the nut. $18 shot in the rear end.

Thanks guys, sounds like it's the same socket as what's used for the rear. I like to do a job without surprises! Sometimes I don't have another car to go fetch stuff (like a socket) I've seen some nuts that are round and have 4 or 6 slots in them.
