Rick,
You might search the archives, I remember a post by our illustrious moderator about the king pin bushings on our front axles.
Good Luck,
Caleb

Rick its probably the nylon bushing. They are easy to replace. #ad

Number 18 is the nylon bushing pn 4384127
Number 16 is a gasket pn 3894145
Number 19 is a seal pn 4115851.
The lower king pins have tapered roller bearing, I would think the bushing around the upper king pin would go bad first.
I replaced the bushings in mine after the article came out in a past TDR issue. There was very little wear on them. But I still think they will go bad first before the roller bearings.

Thanks guys! after rechecking the front end with and without weight on it, seems all the movement is with wheels off the ground, with weight on the ground looks like he only movment is from the top and not as bad as without weight.

this all started with my tires wearing funny kinda saw tooth like, with the leading edge of the tread lugs wearing more than the trailing edge, and the strange thing is it's wearing like this evenly over the entire tread surface... ... ... . Rick

Checked your front air pressure lately? That'll make 'em wear wierd...
