When I turn to the right while going slow I can hear what sounds like the brake shield rubbing on the rotor. The noise is associated with the turning of the wheel and it does not occur turning left. I bent the shield a bit and this seemed to help for a while but the noise comes back.

Can anybody give me any suggestions as to what is making the noise. Thanks

Also may be the wheel bearing. Checking is easier with 2 people. Put the front axle on jackstands, grab the tire at the top and bottom and rock it in and out. If you can feel or hear movement, there's something loose. The 2nd person can get behind the wheel and see where the movement is happening. If you don't see movement at the ball joints it's in the bearing.
