Quick question; If you put a 2" front leveling kit on, are new shocks required as well? Or does it depend on what shocks you have already? hmm? Anyone have anything good or bad to say about the leveling kit? -thanks.

Tuff Country 2" kit and BE5-2549 Bilsteins on mine do not affect wheel travel. Bilsteins are best shocks I've ever owned.

i have the 2" leveling kit on mine as well, the daystar or dayco or some crap, i got it for 80$ out of fourwheel parts. worked great, easy to install and improved the look IMO, also, no shocks for me.

What size do they make and where is the best and cheapest place to get a front end leveler. I am thinking a 1" would be what I want. Thanks, also is it very hard to install?

You can also do a 2-3 inch coil spring kit. Skyjacker makes those. I think I am going to do that since I will not have to worry about the possible sag my stock springs may have. Just my opinion though!

Specifically, they are the Skyjacker D25 coils. Lots of members run them. I have a set in my garage that I need to put on mine, come to think of it! I picked them up for ~$145 at 4 Wheel Parts, shipped to my door.

Man if I were you I would have those coils on already! But I know what you mean, I have air lift bags I have been meaning to put on my truck for months. Never have time to do it. I will come this spring (no pun intended).

I called Skyjacker this morning about the coils. There is no need to run longer shocks, or buy a new track bar, but anything over this 2. 5" (D25) height I would.

I also want to buy new swing arms with heim joints in them but I don't know if they come seperate or in kit form only. I would like to do just the coils and the arms for now. I remembered I wanted to ask the Skyjacker guy about that right after I hung up. I will call later.

shocks

My personal experience with 3" of lift is that stock shocks topped out over pretty moderate roads. I feel that it would have been too close for my comfort even at 2", but some don't have any trouble. It may depend somewhat on year of truck, option packages, and the phases of the moon. I ended up modifying the shock towers so they were shorter. Can always try it and take it for a test drive then buy shocks if you have to. Good luck.

2 WD?

What about 2 wheel drives? Can you used lifts and/or bigger springs? I would like to raise up the frontend about 2" max. Any help woud be greatly appreciated.

TIA
