This has been beat pretty hard in past posts but I didnt see a direct answer. So, Is there a 1 1/2" lift block for the front coils? I saw about having to change shocks, suspention bars, moving tires back in the hole 3/4", and ?? about alignment problems. All I want is to raise the front alittle and do not want to change out alot of parts. Is there enough play in the stock type shock for length? I didnt want to change the bars that go from axle to the frame because of the harder after market bushings that are needed, to hrad a ride for me. Am considering the (sp) blistien shocks thou and do they make them longer. Maybe the Edelbrooks shocks. Thanks.
 
Although Mine is only a 2wd, I was able to get about 1. 5 inches by having the front spring changed out altogether. Fabtec makes a aspring that will work well, they might have a similar setup for the 4x4. Call Aggressive Suspension in Fullerton, CA- ask for Darren (sorry don't have the number handy:rolleyes: )he should be able to help.

Lift

I just installed a 2" Tuff Country lift ($119 for JC Whitney) on my '01 4x4. It is just spacers for above the springs. Very easy to install, about 2-1/2 hours. I didn't use a coil spring compressor, but that would make it easier. Instructions don't mention this, or that disconnecting the sway bar helps the axle drop lower. Local shop had no problem aligning the truck. I kept the stock shocks (for now), no problem. I'm running 35" tires on stock rims with only minor rub on the control arms at full turn. For a couple hundred more, you can get a kit with new lower control arms (narrower than stock, no rubbing) and shocks. Explorer ProComp is one brand for a more complete kit. I'm happy with just the spacers.
