2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Front light bar / light mounting ???

I was looking for a simple way to mount two driving lights on a front bar. Do not want to cut the air dam as I see some bars required. Can I dril the bumper and mount two thin Hella lights that were 2-5/8 deep? They are thin and mounting stud is towards the rear. Hella 500 Light Kit, Hella 500 Lights Thanks!

I've been looking at either the CARR light bar that bolts on where the license plate frame does, OR one made by Randy Ellis that you see in the back of some 4wd magazines.

I think it's Sleekster Offroad Truck Light Bars if I'm not mistaken...

Here is a photo of my 07. 5 with the Carr light bar. There was an issue, the steel part of the bumper is about 3/8" away from the plastic chrome cover, a larger hole and some creative shimming solved the problem. It is a nice piece and sets well once the alignmnent is fixed. Sorry the picture is small.

This is what I did on my 01. 5. The bull bar I got on ebay, and it's stainless. Welded two mounts on it so I could custom fit the two Hella lights. The bull bar does not require any cutting on the truck and fits nicely, I think the brand is Hunter and are about $150



The lights are Hella Jumbo 320 FF, I'm not sure if they are marketed in the US, But any rectangular should fit since my lights are as big as they gets. They are bright and are wired to light automaticly together with my high beams, but with a switch to turn them off if needed (not happend yet ) With sport lights and heavy duty wiring and relays I can finally see at dark :-laf
