I have developed a slight drip comming from behind the damper. How many out there have experience this type of leak? I would look it up in my manual but I loaned it to a friend and you can guess the rest.

I hope that to have this repaired it dosn't involve removing the motor.

Thanks in advance.

Look in the 12 valve forum under Killer Dowel Pin. Lot's of info on replacing that seal. I replaced mine not long ago. Don't worry, it's a tedious job but the motor stays in. In fact, if you pull the damper the seal is right behind it. I think you could drill a couple of holes in the seal, put in some sheet metal screws and pry it out without the long job of taking off the timing cover that holds the seal. When you buy the new seal it's in a kit that includes a seal installer. The new seal can be pressed in using that tool and bolting on the damper to press it in. Easier to do than to explain.
