Front mount hitch

Is anyone running one of these on a 3rd gen??? Lookin for installed pics, not sure if it will clear the plow.

I have never seen them on a 3rd gen. I had them on my 01 but the 06 has the tow hooks. So far I have not had too use them.

RankRam, How is it mounted? I didn't see anything on the link you gave.

Got one on mine. Think its a hidden hitch, but its been a while since I had it put on.

It's very easy to mount, there is one backing plate for each tow hook. Just install two (4 bolts total) bolts through each end of the hitch. The bolts clamp the backing plates and hitch to the tow hooks.



The one and only time I used it, the hitch it worked very well on my 05 Ram.



It won't work with my 06 Laramie "bumper".



If anyone local is interested, I'll sell it real cheap!

While that's nice - it's $200 that you could put toweards a really good front bumber to protect that pretty front end... ..... and they usually come with a HD front hitch.....

Reese, Hidden Hitch and Curt Mftg. are make ones to fit 3rd gen, I looked into them recently, but haven't gotten around to buying one yet. They range from $125-$225 depending on where you buy one,most plus shipping ,some not. I have a brush guard on front of mine which may interfere and I haven't checked it out thoroughly enough to feel comfortable ordering one till I do.

I have the same one as RankRam on my 2003. It takes about five or ten minutes to install with no drilling. It looks nice.
