Anybody have any thoughts on how to attach a receiver hitch to the front of the truck for a 300# dirtike? We haul a fifth wheel and may tow a boat behind that so we want a receiver for the front.
Might want to check with hidden hitch and Eaz-a-lift web pages. They might have a bolt on front hitch for our trucks.
In your case tho, you might opt for a couple of mounting points such that you don't get the bouncing back and forth from the tolerance of the hitch and the drop.
Hi I am having trouble accessing any info on the warn website, I can't find anything with prices. The hidden hitch looks pretty straight forward. I will probably go with that unless the warn has higher capacities. Thanks for the link. The replacement bumber is out of my price range
You could try calling Warn at 1-800-543-WARN to see if they can locate a dealer for you. The part number for the hitch kit is 65370. It is of excellent quality, good welds and paint. There is also minimum drilling in the install just 4 7/16" holes. I think the hidden hitch requires 2 1 1/4" holes in the web of the frame. I'm not that crazy about holes that big in the hydroformed frame. The Warn reciever tube goes through the black air dam instead of hanging under it. It looks alot cleaner.
Have you looked into Road Armor? Their stealth bumper looks awesome and is very stout. They have a receiver hitch option for it as well. I'll be posting some pictures of my Road Armor here soon. http://www.roadarmor.com
