It's getting time for rotors and pads again,,and was wondering what the members have to recommend,,,the prices i'm getting in canada are way higher than i see in the US,,so if anybody has good results with certain rotors,,please let me me know what,,and where to buy. . hopefully NO chinese stuff,,unless you got good wear from them,,,

For pads ,,i always liked Hawkhead but cant find the anymore,,,a member on here used to sell them,,,but doesnt anymore,,,now i'm using Hawk pads and they seem to work good,,but the Hawkheads used to be very easy on rotors...

On another topic,,,does anyone know if we can nuse the OVER THE HUB rotors from the 2001 trucks,,instead of the pain in the *** behind hub 96 style,,,i might consider changing to the 2001 hub if i had too,,

Check out the ebc drilled and slotted rotors they have been the best rotor Ive ever bought. If you look at places like autoanything.com they offer good shipping rates and if your order is above a certain price they will ship for free but i dont know about Canada. I generally run cheap brake pads that way i dont chew up my rotors. As far as using slip on rotors Ive never seen that done but Im guessing you would have to swap the entire axle because I think the axleshafts are different as well as the hub assemblies. Some one else may have more knowledge on that than I do.

I also tried the Hawkhead. Really nice pad. I liked it a lot, but when I needed replacement I couldn't find it. From a TDR member's advice I ordered the Bendix TitaniuMettallic pad.
From all the pads I've tried this for me is in a whole new ligue. Even the original OEM pads that came with the truck are not even close. I ordered it from Summit.
Pablo, thanks for the awesome tip.
