I am looking for rubber mud flaps for the front of my 2 wheel drive 2001 dually. I need something to protect the paint from rock chips. Does anybody know where I can order the soft rubber mud flaps online? If not, do you know what part # to ask for at the dealer?

Thanks

Len

After watching my Mopar mud flaps eat through the paint where they wrap around onto the body (very well repainted under warranty, but what a pain!), I went to the local parts store - I don't remember which one - and paid about eight bucks for a pair of generic flaps. I used cardboard to make a template where I would be mounting them, cut them out with some tin snips or something similar, drilled a couple small holes at the edge of the wheel well, painted those holes with a little rustoleum and put them on with four sheet metal screws each side after the paint had dried. They've been on nearly two years and they're MUCH better than what I bought from Dodge.

Len,

I make a Mudflap that is made out of ABS plastic. they are 3" longer than the regular ones you see and they are shatterproof and flexible but because it is longer, protects the paint.

I have a classified ad but I had to redo it so wait a couple of days to see it in the Member basement are aof the classifieds.

here is a pic of it in the mean time
