The seal in the front differential is leaking. It is on the drivers side. How much of a pain is this to replace? Should I have a shop do it?

did you possibly just remove the rotors for replacement/cutting? Disturbing the hub assembly can cause the inner seal to leak a bit of diff fluid, this is very normal. Park the truck on an angle towards the drivers side and see if it continues to run. if it does, bad seal. if not, its just a small accumulation of diff fluid. Ive heard the seals are a b*tch to change tho...

good luck

Yes I just had new rotors installed last week. I spoke to the installer and he stated he did not touch the axle.

Since that is the case-

Just wait and see if it stops, after driving it for a while. Watch the fluid level if it is actually more than what seeps out after the service work.
