Front Seal & Warranty Coverage

The front seal is leaking on my engine and the dealer advised that before I have it fixed, that there is a $100 deductible on the warranty??? I told the Service Manager that I will complain to Chrysler before I have it fixed and he wished me luck The service manager & the diesel tech. agreed with me that to pay a deductible is ridiculous.



Anyone else ever have to pay a deductible for warrantied engine work?

Yes, the warranty on the engine is 7yrs/100,000 miles with a $100 deductible after 5 years. I had to pay it when the dealer replaced some injectors on my 2003 last year at 99,000 miles.



I'm not sure you'll need to pay it though. When was the truck first put into service?
