Well, I think my shocks are going, finally. With 150K on them, and having them bottom out occasionally on what looked like a comparatively small dip in the road, Im ready to replace the OEM front and rear shocks.

I know there are lot of preferences, and I don't want to start any riots here :-{} really :-laf so a little friendly advice on an OEM replacement that will give me the good ride I had when they were new, is what Im looking for.

I drive offroad... but conservatively. 99% of my driving is on pavement and 30% of it is towing. I also run Timbrens over my rear axle for towing heavy.

Thanks for any advice and experiences,

Joe

I bought my '06 with Bilsteins already on the front. Before I bought it, I test drove a duplicate stock '08 and thought "man, this truck rides hard!". So when I test drove the '06 (with Bilsteins) I thought it drove WAY nicer! Geno's Garage carries them if you are interested.

If you got 150k out of a set of shocks and you liked them why change:-laf

I have a couple sets of take offs if you are willing to pick them up... ... ... I hate shipping stuff

Generous offer Bob4x4, but those OEM 94s of yours probably won't fit :-laf

Already ordered some Bilsteins from Geno's thanks to the help from my friends here on the TDR. ;)

I'm not positive, but I think the color difference is related to if you have a lift or not. Mine are black/silver and had a leveling kit when I bought it. When you order, be sure to ask, that's all...
