I have a 98' dodge ram 3/4 ton quad cab. Is it hard to change the front shocks on it? Do I need any special tools to do it?

I did mine. No special tools just a jack a air wrench and a creeper.
I started off by jacking the hole front end up and started tacking the bolts out of the top then the bottom and pulled the hole shock up and threw the hood. The hole thing was not bad the only one that gave me trouble was the back passenger bolts hard to get out bad angle.

The two times I've replaced shocks on my 4x4 truck, I found the job went easier when I removed the shock towers. I didn't remove the tires, but then I do have dinky 31 inchers.

Getting the left shock through the brake lines can be a challenge, though.
