Hey everybody, I have two problems to write ask about:

1st The front (door)speakers in my '99 rarely work, I have tried replacing the speakers (had to keep the crossovers) and they worked untill I turned off the ignition. It's been happening for the past 50K miles. I scheduled an appointment at dealer and they started working on the way over, Murphy at his finest.

2nd. Does anybody know how to calibrate the temp display in the overhead console. Mine varies in how far it is off daily. Yesterday it read 105 when it was about 85 out, this morning it read 81 when it was 72. I have seen it read SC once I believe that was a self cal, but I'm not absolut about it.

Any Ideas?

Check the wiring to the probe. It may be loose, dirty, or have corrosion.

Speakers: I have nearly the same problem on my 98. 5, the left front speakers don't work at all. I bought it used about six months ago and it was that way when I got it. Been meaning to fix it, but... ... lazy I guess. I am hoping it is just a loose plug/wire on the back of the radio and not the speakers.

Any past experience out there on this?

I believe there's a TSB for speakers on these trucks although I couln't find a link to what the fix was. When I bought by 99 the right door speaker was out so I went to wally-world and bought a pair of Sony speakers and just put one in. What I did was keep the amp from the original infinity and zip tied it to the sony (they don't mate up). That's been about a year and a half and knock on wood it's still going strong.

On the console I don't know of a calibration on it for the temp display. Is yours reading wrong while rolling down the road of when you first get in it? Under-hood heat will affect it if you're not rolling down the road.

The Temp is always off.

I swapped out one of my speakers with a pioneer I had laying around, but it didn't change anything. I get to hear the front speakers about once a month when they wake up.
