Front Spindle

What is the best way to get the lower ball joint off the spindle I have bout 2 different ball joint removers and neither of them fit the lower ball joint.

BFH- (Big Freakin Hammer), and beat them out. Be sure you hit the outer part in the control arm, and not the stud sticking out. Took me 5min per side the other day on my 90. If one or more come out on the first hit, you need to get the "Problem Solver" type ball joint, or a new control arm- it is too loose.



Another option is the Chrysler tool to put between the two ball joint studs and push it out.



You do have the ball joints broken loose from the spindle, right? big, thick, pickle fork and a BFH.



(I do not condone the use of a BFH when alternatives are available. Seeing how his alternative failed, he has no other options. )

well i found a spindle for the truck from a wecking yard in newyork and it was the right part the first time they don't seem to be big on gettin it to fast but they do get it to you, as for getting the old one off i had to modifi a 15/16 ball joint fork and get at ti from under the truck, put the truck together this morring and it runs great. thank for the post dpuckett
