A friend asked me the other day about swapping his front springs for new ones. His question he asked was do the front springs have to be installed a certain way? I told him there is a top and a bottom and the heavier one on the drivers side. But I guess he wants to know does the coil have to sit a certain way on the perches for ride height? There aren't any stops so I would guess no but can any of you answer his question for me??

Somebody will probably disagree :-{} , but I think that it shouldn't really matter, because the perches are flat. I just put mine with the end to the back.

I believe the diameter of the perches are different.

I just got through an install of TRex springs.

The were labeled.

I got the lower end TRex system (2" shocks versus the 2. 5"). I have been very pleased. :)!

The front springs are a lot more progressive. I have not had time to play on the back roads yet but the highway is a lot lot better. Definitely less harsh. Good set of compromises.

RKohn,

I think its the same as you discribe. A top and a bottom to the spring but how they sit (rotated) on the perches doesn't matter. I think if it did there would have been a stop put in for the end coil to sit in or stop up against.
