The front on my truck seems soft, when I am standing in the bed of the truck and rock it side to side it rocks very easy and and it seems that the front is softer than the rear. When I ordered the truck I did so with the plow prep,so I have the stiffest springs but over time I think they have softened up. Is there a stiffer after market spring that does not raise the truck other than to its normal height? Also I think the front is now lower than when new. I have heard about the 2" blocks but this does nothing for the stiffness, and in time just further weakens the spring. Will dual front shocks help?? I already have bilstiens but they seem like they bounce to much, they have been on for 3 years and 20,000 miles.

There are aftermarket springs from Kore, 4 X 4 Wharehouse, Offroad wharehouse, and I'm sure plenty others. My 99 also has the same rock when I'm in the bed, but it goes down the road fine and takes the bumps well. If you stiffin up with new springs you might be dissapointed with the ride being too stiff. As far as the leveling spacers they do just that. I used the steel ones I think I got them from Offroad, it's been almost a year and I forget for sure. I don't think dual front shocks will help with as far as springs are concerned. The dual shocks will increase the dampening effect and make things more firm up front, mainly used for off roading, or just for looks by some. I don't think they are the answer for you but, it depends on what you want. If you just want the front to be level then go with the leveling pucks either poly or steel. They will raise the front end a bit but, will not stiffen things up.
The Bilstiens on my truck totally transformed the ride making it very smooth compared to the Monroes that were on when I got it. I like them.

Good luck.

Joe when I go over bumps such as rr tracks or across an intersection that has tire ruts perpendicular to my line of path( I know the roads up here in the peoples republic of massachusetts suck) the front wheels hop. I am thinking that a firmer shock or shocks (dual) or and spring would help eliminated the wheel hope.

I installed the Kelderman front airride on my truck can add air when I need it and dump it when I don't I can add air when hooked to the plow so I maintain the level ride when carrying the extra weight.

I have an 01 that has had Bilsteins on it for about 40,000 miles. Ive been reall busy on the farm and the kids have been driving it and finally I went for a ride yesterday to get parts. It feels like someone took the shocks. Nothing there. It bounces for about 3 bounds when you go over the RR tracks. Once when I was a kid, I had a VW Bug and was changing out the shocks on a Sunday. I got the old ones off and had ordered the incorrect new ones. We rode around in that car the rest of the weekend laughing our tails, It was like being in a slinky. How long do most shocks last? Anyway, I have a call into Off Road Warehouse and new set on the way. I expected a little longer service but I liked them when they were new so got another set.
