Getting ready to put my front hubs back together after a bearing service I noticed that my bearing/seal kit came with a different seal than I had been using. Truck is a 93 W250 with a Dana 60 up front. Normally I had used the CR-27452, the seal I have here is the CR-27471. per CR's website the inner and outer dimensions are the same but the seal material is different. the 52 is a polyacrylate seal while the 71 is a nitrile material. Has anyone had experience with the CR-27471?

PS: I have had them in stock a few months so it wouldn't be an easy return.

Thanks in advance and keep up with those wheel bearing services, it is my number one cause for roadside failures during my 23 years driving (2).

WOW. Really? Wheel bearing failure. I would not have guessed that. I would have thought belt/hose failure. Or possibly 'lectical quirks. That is to say, outside tires going flat on the bottom side.

Sorry. No help with the wheel seal issue.

Thank you for the input.

I put it together with the CR-27471 Nitrile seals. I will let you know if there are any issues. I dont expect any.
