Had truck since new. Second brake job and removed rotors to turn. Noticed there is grease seepage on the passenger side bearing area, but not the drivers' side. I know the seepage is normal. But what concerns me is the machined area just behind the splined part of the axle where it flairs out to the lip was rusted and didn't have any grease on it (drivers' side). Had to clean it with a wire brush. The hub bearing appears to be okay and you can see a slight abount of grease on it. The passenger side still had the grease on the spindle edge where the axle lip rides after I removed the rotor. And the lip just behind the splined part of the axle was clean, unlike the drivers' side.

Think it would be a good idea to grease these two mating surfaces (axle lip and spindle edge that mate) to keep the moisture out? Kind of a small thing but wanted to see what others had to say. Thanx guys, Tony.
