I have been reading about the front wheel bearings being sealed on the 4x4's. I drove from New Mexico to Alabama recently and had some trouble with mine while I was down there. I checked them before I left and they were all good. When I was down there I was in the interstate and my right front ones went out without warning. That caused a whole mess load of problems, the cost to fix it all was a little over 2K. Now it seems and feels like my front left are giving way. Is there someway to fix this myself or am I going to need some help. I am pretty strapped for cash right now so any help would be great. I am pretty much in the dark with most of this stuff. Thanks

I don't know if the 2500 are like the 3500 but the 3500 front bearings are a sealed unit which you cannot buy individual parts for. EGR sells the hub assembly alone-dealer sells hub and rotor together. I had a machine shop press out the seals and bearings so I could clean and regrease bearings. Then they put them back together. Cost was $40. If you mess up seals you cannot get replacement so you will have to see the two places above for the assemblies.

Thanks for the help guys. Found a new wonderful noise coming from the right front that I had fixed after my little incident. I am pretty sure it is the disc deal on the back side of the rotor. I took off the wheel yesterday and that stopped the noise, and the was no noise coming from the inside or the brakes. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before or if there are any ideas out there to fix this.
