A hub replacement that adds serviceable bearings and manuel hubs

It took a while for Dynatrac to deliver- but I must say- it's one nice kit. Stout spindle, readily available huge timken roller brgs, spread out way more than the unit brg design, 35 spline outers. I'm glad my wheels are a bit wider to help offset (sorry for the pun) the goofy look of the hubs sticking out- it's now dead nuts even with the sidewall. I'm doing a RT to Dallas this week- curious to see if I can actually "see" mileage gains (no longer spinning the axle shafts dif or front DS going down the road. )

The main thing is peace of mind- I can go on long trips and know confidently I won't be stranded/delayed due to a unit brg. :D

Dynatrac Kit on a 3500

Rockcrawler so you installed your kit on a 3500? I thought that the kit couldn't be used on the 3500 due to the hub extensions? What gives? Ken Irwin

The axle bearings are covered under the 7/70 POWERTRAIN warranty. I had the balljoint issue and they weren't covered. (non powertrain), but the axle bearings are part of the powertrain. Should be a hundred $ deductible if it's the same warranty as mine. By the way, I didn't let the dealership do my balljoints either. When they really need changing, I'll do them my self.

Good luck rockcrawler, I'd go find a dealership with some smarts, if there is any such place!

So you can't use the kit and install Chevy dually hubs?

That would seem the simple answer. Is it because of differences between new dodge and old chevy mounting styles?

I know on Chevy 60s the DRW and SRW hubs interchange with no issues

I would be very surprised if you have the legal right to sue them in your local small claims court. Somewhere in your purchase agreement is most likely a statement that defines where, when, and how you can take legal action. It is most likely in another state, in a jurisdiction that is more favorable to DCX's position. Most of us never read the fine print on a contract like that, and the dealer doesn't want to spend the time pointing things like that out either... Good luck.

In what city is this Fletcher dealership located ? They sound like a bunch of morons!

The rear axle bearings (actually hub bearings) are not pressed on to anything. I live

in Paragould so I was wondering if you might be refering to the dealership in Jonesboro.

You can't sign away your rights, when they make you sign a statement or they refuse to sell you the vehicle if you don't sign, puts them in a bad position, and even if you did sign one all you have to do is go through the arbitration hearing, and if you still don't agree at that point you can sue them, but you do need to go into arbitration first due to the paper you signed.
