Was up in Montreal Canada last week . . aye... and the temperature dropped below 20 F one night. I got out to start the old girl up one morning and she did'nt want to move. Near as I could figure the parking brake had forzen somehow... the parking brake released normally but, the brake was still on in the drum. Anyone else had this problem before, any fix besides not using the parking brake below freezing?

OH NO !!!

Yep another warm weather dude ;) Just kiddin

Here's the deal, ya drive your truck and all the drivetrain gets warm including the brakes and drums, so then ya park it and set the brake, the night gets cold and the brakes freeze

It happens all the time and ya just dont wanna set that brake here in the cold parts :)

If it happens to you all you can do is to give it some torque and bust em loose .

cheers, Kevin

They did'nt bust loose right away, I had to move it up and down the parking lot quite a bit before they busted loose. Yea... it's pretty warm back at the house here now ... . thanks for the info ..... think I'll go swimming now...

sure rub it in with the swimming deal, you lucky dog... ... . our swimming pool is now the kids ice skating park:cool:

cheers, Kevin

You would'nt believe it but, the Mosquitos here actually aren't a probelm because there is a control program in place. I worked up in the bootheel of Mo. this summer and that was the worst that I've ever seen them. Surprisingly the worst place for them is northern Canada in the remote bush areas reported to me by the bush pilots who fly up there.
