The last few mornings the temps here have ranged from -5 to 5F degrees outside. When I start my truck (outside at work NOT plugged in) there is a horrible groaning sound coming from the PS pump. The truck is alot harder to turn as well.
I'm guessing the PS fluid is thicking up due to the Low Temperatures outside.
I've searched the forums and others have suggested using Valvoline Semi-Synthetic PS fluid with good results.
What is the Freeze Point for Power Steering fluid ??
